Mileage is 91,700.

chuck would be the closest.

I put the starter on today, but its not cranking. Will the theft deterrent still work with the computer removed?

Can't remember for sure. I think VATS would still let you crank, but the ECM would not start. Crank request is not wired through the ECM, you have a bad/missing wire from the keyswitch. Start with the connector on the column, yellow or purple (big gauge) wire is usually the wire to the solenoid.

yellow is the wire. there was also a blue wire running with the yellow wire. i tried each of them seperately and together but it wont crank. were going to wire in a push button this week. now, to find the plug for the distributor....we had it when we pulled the motor out of the IROC, now its gone. ill see advance auto, again.....

Before you go putting in a push button, why don't you see if the key switch is getting 12V. Kids these day.. to easy to go looking for a shortcut instead of figuring out the problem... :P

Well, we drilled and tapped a hole into the intake for a vacuum for the PCV valves....yes that is plural. Everything is hooked up and boy the motor sounds....AMAZING. I have to fix a trans leak, its leaking at the dip-stick. A new o-ring should fix it. Need to get stuff together for the exhaust and put it on. Then ill get to drive it. If all goes well, i may have it painted, or at least primered before Nationals. If it does happen, ill get to drive it the whole month of August 8)
