Not up to driving it on a long trip. I need a few things taken care of before I do.
I already planned on spending (XXXX) amount on fuel anyway. I planned on trailering it down. I put the truck & trailer through a little test sat going to Ft. Wayne. & I was able to determine what I get out of a tankful with a trailer going average speed of 55 mph & same type of car & weight.
_________________
Surgeon General said nothing about smoking Fords.
I have hauled a few vehicles through the mountains and flat ground for that matter. I don't remember getting very far into the double digits. You might want to guess-timate 10-11 (on high side) mpg if hauling your car with your truck. You can drive it like you stole it and the car will get 15 or better, hopefully. Drive it ! !

I will only be there during the event on saturday. I will be going back to SC to stay with relatives for free ! Anyone staying in a hotel will have to take the photo's of the madness in the parking lot.

Chuck,
You have most of the formula needed in your post. The missing variable is the price. Guess a little high, and you will be good. The south has gas now, so do a search and get a idea of what the going rate is. ( for those of you that did not know, just after the last hurricane, there was no gas to be had )
_________________
Objects in mirror's are LOSING!!!

Yes it is true, but when a fill up takes 40 gallons & you only average 10-15 mpg how much is it going to cost to go 750 miles?? I already have a clue on fuel costs & it hurts really bad when I think about it.
_________________
Surgeon General said nothing about smoking Fords.

So we have Don, LJ, Rik, & on the fence ME. All bringing cars. Anyone know what they get for mileage on a tank of fuel when pulling a trailer? I got some sort of idea & it is not pretty to look at when you are going approx. 750 miles one way.
_________________
Surgeon General said nothing about smoking Fords.
